Applicants for a commercial driver’s license must be at least 20 years old and have had previous experience with a private license.

Step 1: How to Apply for a Learner’s License
The first thing you have to do when seeking a driving license is that you apply for a Learner’s License (LL). This can also be done online through the Parivahan Sewa website or offline by going to your nearest RTO.
You will be required to fill a Form 2 and upload or submit along with it certain documents, including proof of age, proof of address, and passport size photographs. Online fees can be paid, once an appointment has been scheduled to take a written test using the road signs and rules of driving tests.

Step 3: Process for Permanent Driving License

An RTO officer will be testing you on the day of the test. The test typically requires you to drive your car around a predetermined course — one that includes things like going forward, reversing and parking, as well as keeping in lane.
